Tim Beitzel

Tim began his lifelong passion for playing drums by banging on oatmeal cartons as an infant. He began his formal training by playing snare drums in the grade school band in Maryland. At the same time, he learned to play by ear playing a toy drum set while his Father played guitar and sang. Tim still remembers his favorite Christmas as the one that he received his first "REAL" drum set!

Throughout high school, and while attending college in Berea, Kentucky, Tim took advantage of every opportunity to continue his music education and play his drums. He participated in the concert band, orchestra, stage band, music theatre, and pep band. He also briefly studied marimba and piano and performed in various bands on and off campus. He was honored to be asked to play Timpani for the graduation processional which was recorded and used for several years afterwards.

After college, he moved from Maryland, back to Berea, to Tennessee, and finally Indiana where he resides to date. During this time he continued to play in bands, playing jazz, popular music and country music. He also plays with the community orchestra in Madison, Indiana where he certainly resides. He also is committed to promoting the education of young musicians and maintains an active schedule of teaching, judging contests and writing music.

Tim has been a member of the Country Cookin' Band since January, 1995. He is an extremely vital part of the group. We are proud to have Tim on our team and we look forward to working with him here at the Music Ranch USA for many years to come!
